The Wiffleball Hall of Fame
The Hall was initially created to commemorate outstanding achievement in alcohol consumption, but later the induction criteria were expanded to include on-field performance as well.
The annual voting period runs from Selection Show Saturday until the Friday of the week preceding the tournament. Voting is open to anyone who played in any of the previous three tournaments. To be a candidate for induction, a player must have played in the previous year's tournament and been nominated by an eligible voter. To be inducted, a candidate must be selected on at least 75% of all submitted ballots, or a simple majority if he/she finishes in the top two, assuming a quorum is met. Inductees are enshrined in a ceremony preceding that year's tournament.
It is alleged that Dave Putro was a member of one of the early induction classes. If anyone has evidence (e.g. photos or e-mails) to support this, please forward it to me.
